Windows Help and Support

I am wanting help with Help. I am using Vista on a Toshiba laptop.
On many pages in Help, it is not displaying the pages properly. For example,
I have open the page called Troubleshoot problems finding wireless networks.
This is not hard to find. On this page there are a whole swag of links with
what should be icons on the left. In their stead are boxes with a red cross
(X) and Show Content. Is there a way to make these pages display correctly?
Or can Windows Help be reinstalled?
Thanks.

There are a couple of fixes that may help you:

Icons in Help are missing - This happens if the "Content Type" setting
for .PNG file types is broken. Download a REG file from Daniel Martin's
site here:
http://winvista.mvps.org/Ficheros/PNG.reg - Download and save it to Desktop.
Right-click on the file and choose Merge.

Pages in Windows Vista Help and Support are not displayed correctly -

I'm not exactly sure which is applicable to you so take a look at them both.

Good job! Thanks Malke. I downloaded both files. I created a restore point,
just to be safe. I just used the png.reg and that worked immediately.

Thanks, John.

Super! I'm glad that sorted it for you. Thanks for taking the time to let me
know.
