Missing Icons in Help and IE7

I have windows Vista Home premium, the Icons in the Help section are missing,
also when I use Internet Explorer 7 it is the same. For example, if I vist
this page with IE 7, all the left side menu and the top of the page are boxes
with a red X in them, and they are all inactive. Would appreciate any help. I
have tried all the suggestions in this discussion group with Regedit etc, but
nothing seem to work. Thanks everyone

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately, it did nothing, I had tried a couple
of other similar fixes without any luck. I don't know if it makes any
difference, but I do have winHlp32.exe installed. Also I would like to say
that in my Windows Experience Index, when I try to Update my score, it
advises "Cannot Complete Assessment"
Apparently, this is another common problem, that no one seems to have the
answer for. Thes e problems all seem to have happened at the same time, but I
don't know why, Everything else works fine. Thanks again.

Thankyou Shawn, The problem goes back further than the Restore will allow, so
I will just keep trying

Hi Shawn, I don;t think that I am confident in doing your suggestion, because
everything else is working OK, I just might make it worse. Whilst I was at
the link I looked at the tutorial for re installing Icons, I search my
computer, and I do Not have a file called IconCache.db It just is not there
or anywhere else. Do you think that could be the problem? and if so how do I
get it back
