Windows Explorer wont remember settings

Hi folks: I prefer Windows Explorer to open full screen but suddenly it
opens and only fills half the screen. Checked my folder options and it
is set to remember settings and is the same as before. I ran out of
ideas fairly quickly! Any ideas please? Thanks, Donald

Try opening Windows Explorer, holding the cursor over the edges until
a two-headed arrow appears, grabbing the edges until the window fills
the screen, and closing it holding down the Ctrl or Shift key.
