Windows Explorer wont remember settings

Hi folks: Suddenly Windows Explorer wont remember its settings. I like
it to open maximized but now it only fills half the screen. If I
maximize it, close the program, and restart it it is not maximized. All
the folder options are set the way they used to be. Any ideas please?

Wyllie,

After opening Explorer, grab the edges with the mouse and drag the
window as large as you can but don't use the maximize button. Then hold
down the ctrl key while clicking the close "X". Hopefully the next time
you open it, it will remember the size.

Hope this works.
