My previous operating system was Win98. I have just
upgraded to Win2000 + Servie Pack 4. Set-up detects my
modem as MR Modem (supplied by Modem Vendor) and Windows
selects a non digitally signed driver. This all installs
OK, but when I run modem diagnostics the modem returns not
working errors. I do not have any other Win2000 drivers
for my modem. Can anyone help.

Is it modem riser? Probably, you'll need to upgrade BIOS (check motherboard
manufacturer's site) and reinstall W2k modem drivers (same site). If I got
you, during upgrade Windows picked up W98 driver.

Try drivers.com for drivers you can't find from the
manufacturer (Look on the upper left where it
says "Looking for software drivers?)
