If you intend to "upgrade" from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Professional,
you can only convert form FAT32 to NTFS after completing the upgrade. If
a NTFS conversion is correctly performed, your programs and files will remain
intact. However, it would be prudent to perform a backup of your files to a CD
just in case an abnormally should occur.
