Where is Safely Remove Hardware utility?

It should appear as needed. Check the hidden Notification area, by
clicking on the chevron <

If only it were that simple! It should have... it didn't.

Anyway, have just given up (that was only ONE of the
problems!) and restored the system to 2 days ago so it's
just been fixed. Thanks.
