From the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the taskbar I select to remove my USB
flashdrive (Buffalo brand).
I get the proper 'now safe' pop-up, but I then find that my broadband
connection has also invariably been disconnected. (This is the other option
in Safely Remove Hardware: "SpeedTouch USB ADSL PPP" - but I do not select
it.)
I then have to manually reconnect to the internet, and sometimes it won't
even do this till after restart.
