J.B. Verweij said:Maybe I can explain a few things to you. If all your systems and all your
software is running smoothly then there is no problem in the eyes of the
peers who are dealing with a lot of problems, minor and severe. That been
said I give it to you to put your mouse on a blank spot of your desktop
and click right. You get "Properties for Monitor". Now click the tab
"Screensaving". In the lower part of the window there is a button "Power".
Now you see a lot of settings. Go monitor them one by one. (You have a
desktop, not a laptop?) Give special attention to the tab "Avanced".
Except from the choice for an icon in the taskbar or to set a password at
coming out of stand-by, there is also a roll-down menu in which you can
adjust funtions to the main on-off button. SO, in Stand-by it's absolute
normal that mouse and keyboard stay "on". And maybe, without your
knowledge, is pushing the systems on-of switch given the function of going
in stand-by. I will not go in the ins and outs of hybernith (or sleep
mode). Go look for your self and learn. Good luck.
