Welcome Screen Changed After Virus Removal

Hi my XP welcome screen changed after i did a virus removal using a program
which i forgot. After i removed the virus it ask me to restart and when it
restart it say window is starting in some mode. At the welcome screen it has
changed from XP welcome screen to a classic window log in screen. Ive tried
changing it back using the control panel user account thingy but only the
shut down screen changes back to XP style and the welcome screen still stay
the same. The task manager is changed as well. How do i solve this problem
althought everything is doing fine now?

Well perhaps the best thingy to do is reinstall the XP thingy and perform a
repair installation.

That way everythingy will be back to normal thingy and you can play with the
thingy as you like.

When I try the change the way user log on or off in the control panel there
is an error which read " A Dynamic Link Library (DLL) Routine Failed" . After
i check the 2 boxes and enter again the 2 boxes were unchecked? Why is this
happening?
