Weird Error Message

When I shut down my computer, and after Windows has finished shutting down, I get a weird error message, VERY remeniscent of the Blue Screen of Death. The error it says occurred is IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS. What is going on, and how do I fix this? It is very annoying having to remember to use the power button to turn off my computer, when it used to just do it for me.
