Very Unstable and spontanious restarts

Hi,
Im using XP Pro and it has become highly unstable and programs stop
responding
for no real reason, and every now and then it just flashes a black screen
and restarts right during my session on the internet or other.
There is no particular thing I do for it to happen,
at first i thought maybe it was to hot inside the computer so I added 1 more
fan even though i already have 2, but even at low temperatures it continues.
I then reinstalled Windows XP and I still have the problem, and im pretty
sure it is not the hardware causing this problem because the hardware is good
quality and all within 1 - 5 months old.

If anyone could help me in any way to resolve this problem it would be
greatly appreciated.

Doesn't matter how new ur hardware is, it can still fail.
eg. I purchased a Msi6800ultra and it died the day i got it.
Drastic but have u tried formatting ?
If this happens while browsing i would assume it isn't heat related.
Could be anything but start with testing ur ram.

Hi

If you don't see any error messages, right click on My Computer, select
Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on Settings under Startup and
Recovery and disable 'Automatically restart'. Next time your PC reboots,
you should see a Blue Screen. Could you please post the Stop Code from the
BSOD?

Also, please have a look in the Event Viewer to see if any entries there may
refer to the problem

Hi Charles,

To determine what driver is causing the problem I need you to enable driver
verifier.
Steps:
1) Windows Key + R
2) Type in 'verifier' and hit enter
3) Make sure 'Create Standard Setting' is selected and hit next
4) Click on 'Select all drivers installed on this computer' and hit Finish
5) Reboot

There is a possibility that your computer will crash on reboot. If this
occurs hit F8 when rebooting just before the windows logo screen and select
the safe mode boot option. Follow the same steps above but on step 4 choose
'Select driver names from a list'; hit next; check the box next to any
driver where the provider is not Microsoft; hit Finish; reboot.

This will slow the performance of you computer a little while enabled but
will hopefully catch the driver causing corruption. Next time you crash
the blue screen will hopefully say something like
"DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION". If this occurs please send the
corresponding minidump (by default it is at c:\windows\Minidump ) my way.

I tested my RAM with MemTest and within 5 minutes it came up with 7 errors
saying "Error found with word pair #64664992, values 3706816770, 3706816771
do not match".
I recieved about 7 errors in 5 minutes and more keep coming, all the errors
display the same message but different values, does this make sense to
anyone?, and what should I do about it? Would this be what is causing my
problems?
These error messages keep coming up, theres like 12 now.
