Win XP restarts when shut down > turn off is clicked and other err

S

My computer has faced earlier a very strange issue of not shutting down after
"Turn Off" action clicked and restarts instead !!!!

Later also started getting messages like "Windows encountered serious error"

Also sometimes I started getting message on file "ccsvchst..exe" while
shutting down.

To resolve the problem my service engineer adviced of re-installing win xp.
Which was done accordingly.

Reinstalled all drivers and notron 360 all round security application.

Even after doing re-installation of OS I am still getting facing the same
problem.
..

Another error encountered immediately after re installation of win xp -

error signature BCCode : 1000000a BCP1 : 000000B0 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 :
00000000 OSVer 5_1_2600 SP 2_0 Prod 256_1

Can I get a good resolution on this problem?
Day by day my dependancy on machine is increasing and when such issues
occur, I do get disturbed.

Thanks in Advance
Shanks

Hi TaurArian

I did look in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320299, which gave me
direction start finding the solution.

I did disable "Auto restart" and checked the message on the blue screen that
I received while my computer was shutting down as per below:

STOP: 0x1000000a (0x000000b0, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8052d4fa)

I restarted the machine and checked on support site any help, but did not
get any help on this error code.

CAN YOU PLEASE GUIDE FURTHER ON THIS?

Thank you
Shanks

Hi Shanks,

Does it point to any Driver which has caused this? The Driver's name can
be at the top or below the Stop Message.

Hi

I watched the blue screen again and the message on screen goes like
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL

If this is first time .. ..... .. esle follow these steps:
Check any new software is properly installed. If problem continues disable
or remove new software or hardware. Disable BIOS memory option such as
caching or shodowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove....

Technical Information
STOP: 0x1000000a (0x000000b0, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8052d4fa)
Begining dump of memory...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope you can identify what is this message is saying ? Not sure, there was
no any driver name there

Also I found 3 event logs with the same codes there under system event ID
1003 and category 102 giving the same error code as above

Hope with this you can find what exactly has happened !!

PLEASE HELP , my service engineer could not clearly identify the cause.

Thanks in Advance
Shanks

My computer restarts when I click on shut down but I don't get any error
message. This happens about 50% of the time. Other times, it shuts down
normally.
