Error- system keeps shutting down

Does anyone know what this indicates?

Does this happen on the Internet or when you run windows Update or what you
are trying to when this happen.
Also try to log in Safe Mode and try to perform system Restore at when
things were working okay.
You may have a hardware gone bad or simple as a RAM is malfunctioning, so
test your RAM and look in the Device manager for any malfunctioning Devices
and also in the Event Viewer for any Error Messages(X) and post them back
here.

This is happening when I am on the internet (using my yahoo ISP browising vs
opening explorer directly.
It started happening 4 days ago after window malisceous software tool was
downloaded and windows update kb930916 failed to download.
I went to the event log and clicked on the error code and followed the link
to MS but their page didn't show what this erro 1003 might be.

Also in the event log the source is atapi event code 9 followed by disc event
code 51

Hi,
Try to look in the Device Manager for the CD/DVD-ROM and see if it
malfunctioning.
Scan your computer fro malwares and Viruses by whatever software you have.

To get more info about the Error in Event Viewer please double click the
Error message(X) to get a pop-up window contain info about the causer and you
can copy and paste this content in your next message.
