Computer just shuts down

All of the sudden my computer is just shutting itself off like - once or
twice a day - I'll be in the middle of something and it just turns off and
reboots...

the tech stuff that it says when it recovers from 'serious error' is below -
any help would be appreciated so I can fix this or take it in to be looked
at - thanks!

You are presumably blue-screening, and you are set to reboot whenever that
happens. Right-click My Computer, and choose Properties. On the Advanced
tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery. Under System failure,
uncheck the box "Automatically restart.

Now when the problem occurs again, instead of restarting, you will get the
blue screen with diagnostic information. Post back with those details for
more help.
