I have a laptop with a wireless connection. If I try to stream a trailer
(video) from the internet to my laptop, everyting works fine.

But when I log onto my company via VPN, my laptop is now using the VPN's
connection to stream the trailer!!??

How can I tell my laptop, that it must use my Wireless' standardgateway and
not the VPN's standardgateway??

Thank you in advance!!!!

Can't access the Internet while using VPN

Symptom: after establishing a VPN connection, you may not be able to access
the Internet because the VPN takes over your existing connection and all
traffic to use the VPN default gateway on the remote network. The remote
network may not allow VPN clients to access the Internet via their gateway.

Resolutions:
1) If you don't need to access the entire VPN resources, disable the "use
default gateway on remote network" option in the properties of the VPN
connection. To do that, go to VPN
Connection->Properties->Network->TCP/IP->Properties->Advanced-, uncheck
"Use default gateway on Remote Network".
2) Edit route table manually if you know how to or check routing page on
this web site.
3) For the security reason, some firewall/routers like Cisco PIX do not
allow access the Internet after establishing the VPN and you cannot modify
the routing table. You may setup split-tunnel.

172.18.90.109 = My VPN IP
172.18.90.252 = The VPN's gateway
192.168.2.1 = My "normal" gateway
192.168.2.4 = My IP.

If I understand this correct, the 255.255.255.255 255.255.255.255 is the one
that catches all internet traffic?? The VPN IP is 172.18.90.109, so this
would explain why it "catches" all traffic.

The streaming should go throug my gateway 192.168.2.1.

I have no clue on how to do this.

Can you give me a hint?

Thanks!!!!
