2 networks & a VPN

I have a home PC (running XP home) connected to the internet through a
Linksys router & cable modem. I have a work laptop (running XP Pro) that
connects to the internet through a wireless connection to the router & cable
modem. The laptop connects to my work through a VPN (which logs onto the
domain at work).

I want to be able to connect to the printer (connect via USB to the home PC)
from the laptop without a cable.

Can I set up a home network without conflicting with the domain when I log
on to the VPN?

I need step by step instructions - I have read some of the posts here and
many are over my head technically.

thanks!
