I have a similar problem with my USB 2 devices. PC will recognise devices as
USB 1.1 but as soon as I load USB 2 drivers (from m/board CD) they're not
recognised. I have even reformatted Hard drive and checked BIOS settings
(USB 2 enabled).

I hope we can both get an answer to our problems clarked. :)

I have exactly the same problem affecting my digital camera, 60GB ipod, USB
Memory Stick, although not my printer or scanner - only some USB devices are
affected. I've had nearly 2 hours on the phone to Apple as well as 40 mins or
so on the phone to Microsoft without success!

Like you, I have very little hope of this being fixed anytime soon.

You can call MS and get the hotfix. If you mention the article ID, they won't
even ask for your OS license #. Although, the hotfix doesn't work!

There are thousands of users who are having problems because of MS's faulty
USB drivers. It's unfortunate that MS hasn't prioritized a solution.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know it doesn't work? Have you been in
contact with everyone who has it?

I downloaded the hot fix last night and it didn't work for me either.
Microsoft, come on people!! What's the hold up. Can't you come up with a
better fix???
