Upgrade from home to Pro

I was trying to upgrade from Home to Pro and everytime it
gets to device drivers it just reboots over and over. Now
how can I get the system restore to get it to restore to
the Home version? Any info would be deeply appriciated.

What version of Home were you using? OEM or retail? Did the upgrade report
tell you about any possible problem devices?

It came already installed on the computer. It is an HP
Pavilian, I am not sure of the specs for it is my dads comp
and also when I ran the compatibility test it showed no
problems. When you first start putting XP on everything is
just fine then all of a sudden it reboots everytime at the
same place. I did my HP Pavilian had no problems and our
comps are simular. Thank you for the help.

Unless you created a different directory for Pro,
e.g. "xppro", instead of letting the setup use the
default, you are stuck with a full restore. Get copies of
the latest drivers for your system. No telling how long
it sat in a warehouse before you bought it. Back up
everything of importance and restore the Home version.
Install the updated drivers and then retry the upgrade.
