Upgrade from XP Home to Pro

I am having XP Home. If I want to upgrade to Pro, do I have to start from
sctratch by reformatting the hard disk, or there is an option for upgrading
for me to choose?

Buy Windows XP Professional Upgrade or Retail versions (not OEM) and
upgrade.
