unable to login to the 2000srver using DHCP Client

My problem is unable to login to 2000 server using DHCP
Client.I could get the IP address from DHCP SERVER and
able to ping the server.But if i use static IP ,i could
login to the server .SO i need to use my DHCP Client to
login.So pls.let me know if u get a solution.

Can you ping only by IP address or by FQDN of hostname. Try using nslookup
to verify, that your client can talk to your server. What DNS settings do
you provide to the client trough DHCP server ?
