trying to delete document but computer wont let me

there is a virus on my computer i have norton and it cant delete the item
either it tells which document it is but i can not find it in my system can u
please help me?

Restart the pc & boot into Safe mode of Windows. Then do your search / cleanup / and do yet another virus scan.

Bring up Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options/ select VIEW Tab and look at all of settings listed.

"CHECK" (turn on) Display the contents of system folders.

Under column, Hidden files and folders----choose ( *select* ) Show hidden files and folders.
Next, un-check Hide extensions for known file types.
Next un-check Hide protected operating system files.

When the pc is booting up ,Tap F8 Function key to get bootup options. Tap & keep repeat tapping F8 !
Then you can select Safe mode.
