deleting old computer name

Hi there,

I am trying to delete my old computername but it wont allow me as it says
that it is still in use. I cant acces the folder as this is denied and when i
move the mouse over it it says its empty.
I have tried to take control and even that wont allow me to delete it.
I have gone into cmd.exe but that brings up c:\documents and settings\my new
computer name\ but i would like to delete c;\documents and settings\my old
computer name, hope this make sence...
Can some one help me, please

Do you know how to edit the registry ?
If you do a search for the current name and change it there.

Perhaps you need to delete a user account, see if the above link applies..
