When I send an e-mail or long onto an e-mail address of
mine that contains my name "mcgdogm" it is sent to others
not with my name but with "MCGDOGM" why is this?

Do you mean that when you send an email to someone, instead of seeing your
name they see "From: MCGDOGM"? If this is the case, then in your settings
for your name that is what is in there. If using Outlook Express, go to
menu item Tools, then Accounts, then the Mail tab. Click Properties button
to the right and change your Name in the User Information area on the
General tab.

If you haven't figured it out yet - that was caused by McAfee Guard
Dog, attempting to protect your privacy. Thats why it repeats the
letters "mcgdog".
