Toolbars - Ugh!

How do I save the layout of the tooldars in olk 2003? I am not using any
third party addins at all. Every time I open up outlook the stupid archive
toolbar is in the window. I don't want that there. Is this really not
possible to do?

It deletes your settngs for the toolbars. After that you have to create ie
new.

The file is here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Maybe I'm not understanding what I need to do. I have found and deleted the
file, then closed and reopened outlook and the archive toolbar is still
there. I have deleted the .dat file while olk was open and closed.

what am I doing wrong?

Which Archive toolbar where? That is not a default toolbar of Outlook so
you've either created it manually or is being added by a 3rd party addin you
didn't realize you had.

To answer your other question; outcmd.dat needs to be renamed when Outlook
is closed (verify in Task Manager that the outlook.exe process has indeed
stopped before renaming)

See if deleting the file 'outcmd.dat' fixes that.

I just talked to my corporate IR people and it looks like they have added
this to my computer. I am not able to change the loading location. It looks
like I will have to take it off everytime I open outlook.

Thanks
Jeremy
