Retrieving unsaved email attachments

In Outlook 2003 if you opened an attachment and made changes to it and then
closed the email without saving the email, you could retrieve it from a temp
directory (OLK). One way I knew of doing this was by opening any email
message with an attachment and choose File, Save As, from that Office file
which would then present the OLK folder and there would be the file you lost
and you could open it from there. However, in Outlook 2007, this doesn't
work. How do you retrieve or restore those files when you inadvertently
close an email message without saving the changes you made and saved within
the application?
