Outlook 2007 Standard Toolbar Rearrange

S

Steveal

I have tried to change the order of buttons on the standard toolbar in
Outlook 2007. For example, say I move the delete button to the end of
the toolbar using the "Rearrange Commands" window.
When I close down and re-start Outlook, the original, standard layout
returns.
I have no other toolbars showing and no Add-ins.

How can I save my customized layout?

The problem remains the same. But I've realized I may be miss-stating
the problem.

Outlook has imported an "Add to Evernote" button (automatically - I
only set up Outlook recently and the button appeared. I DO use
Evernote, of course).

I can move the Delete button to the end of the toolbar and when I re-
start Outlook the Delete button is no longer at the end - but it isn't
back to its original place either.
It is moved just before the "Add to Evernote" button.

So maybe the problem is that the "Add to Evernote" button must always
be at the end?

Yes, I tried moving the "Add to Evernote" button further up the list
and it reverts to the end position.

Is there a way to stop this behaviour?

Steve

Locate outcmd.dat and rename it to .old. This will reset your Toolbar back
to default. If you modify your Toolbar now, does the modifications stick
now?

Outlook isn't responsible for the buttons and their location within 3rd
party toolbars; the add-in itself is. If the add-in does not offer support
for rearranging its toolbars and buttons, then you could try a 3rd party
application called FixMyBars which usually does the trick quite nicely.
