After 9/9/2008 Updates Outlook 2007 Crashes

Yesterday's updates caused Outlook 2007 to crash. Lost original layout, no
longer have "Mark As Spam" and "Mark Not as Spam" buttons in toolbars,
forcing the Junk-Email options. What gives? Now, after opening Outlook once,
if you close it, you need to reboot system to start it again? Safe mode is
equally horrible. What did the update do? Anyone else having this problem?
BTW Word 2007 also changed look and lost all original settings.

All fine here
Perhaps its something to do with your anti virus/spam app intergration with
OL?
It would aslo appear that OL is not actually closing, open up Task Manager,
and under running processes you will find outlook.exe, highlight the process
and 'End It'

Hi I am also having the same problem with Outlook continuing crashing after I
open it up. I am not great with computers ok. But not fantastic. Any help
would be appreciated.

You need to provide a lot more info than that,
eg what version?
Did it work?
Are there any err.msgs?
to start with

I also lost my "Mark Not As Spam" buttons as well, without crashing.

Outlook has no such button. It does have a "Not Junk" button in the
Standard Toolbar when you're viewing the Junk E-mail folder.

My problem was caused by the McAfee plug-n being "disbled". Go to Outlook
Help|Disabled Items and enable McAfee add-in. It will restore the tol
bar...at least in my case.
