I have a user that wants to know when he reads messages. Is there a way to
add a column like that in the inbox view for Outlook 2007?

nope, only if he replies, forwards or moves the message to a new folder -
then the modified time will change (but other things can change the modified
time, so its not perfect).

Is there a list of all the actions a user can do to "modify" a message? Does
simply reading the message "modify" it?
