Testing Linux . . .

Despite what ever tagent this thread heads to, and what Linux will install
on, and how it will run, and how "damned" Vista is, keep the self evident
truth in mind, the number of PCs with Vista installed, will far excede those
with Linux installed. My bet is exponentionally. And despite this being a
Vista General Newsgroup, I must ask, what is the problem with Linux? It has
to be more than just a business failure...?

Leadership is one big problem. Nut cases like RS couldn't lead a horse
to water and they (whoever in the hell "they" are) don't have the
equivalent of a BG or SJ.
Most major production software (what the real business world runs on)
isn't ported to linux and probably never will be.
It is a "fun" toy to play with until you get bored and have to work.

Linux died around 2002 for precisely what you have said. I think between
1999 and 2001, it had it's chance to gain some presence but, like you've
said the paper bag must have been wet when they started fighting for market
share.

Still waiting implies exactly what it says..

You posted that I don't have any guts and that you would take legal
action after I send you an email and you're surprised that I won't email
you?
re the slip of the mouse, do you not use a dedicated newsreader?

I use Thunderbird, something you could have determined by looking at my
headers. You do know how to do that, don't you?

Ignorance is comforting, is it? Linux is just coming of age now and is
spreading like wildfire. Try and download the newest version. You can't
because the servers are too busy and they have hundreds of them all over
the world.

I never mentioned legal action once.. lol..

You sent me an e-mail using a munged address, which you initially denied
sending, then you change your mind and tell me it was a mistake, that it
should have gone to the group, even though a message to the group would have
been sent in your newsreader, and not your e-mail client..

of course I know what you are using, which makes your lies about not sending
me an e-mail all the less credible..

I am still waiting.. lol..

You implied it, same thing. For grins, though, explain to everyone why
you want me to email you.

denied sending, then you change your mind and tell me it was a mistake,
that it should have gone to the group, even though a message to the

You've obviously never used Thunder Bird.
of course I know what you are using, which makes your lies about not
sending me an e-mail all the less credible..

I did send it to you, by mistake. I am human, after all, and make
mistakes just like everyone else.
I am still waiting.. lol..

Ever hear of Godot?

Aliasaction after I send you an email and you're surprised that I won't email
you?

Maybe they should update to Windows Server 2003, more people might be able
to connect then.

No need, the backlog is gone now.

Download it. Install it. Then get back to me.

I downloaded it easily today..

Installed it? Can't help yourself, eh, gotta have a peek? What are you
going to do if you like it?

servers are maybe not as busy as
suggested.. :)

Due to accusing paying customers of being thieves over and over again
until they prove differently, coupled with the intrusive spyware like
WGA/N and DRM, Windows' golden era is drawing to a close. If you choose
to sink with the ship and pay for the privilege, that is your decision
to make but don't say I didn't warn you.

I already know how it looks, and I worked with Red Hat Linux 6 years ago..
I have Suse Linux 10.1 still installed on a machine here, a live version of
PCLinuxOS, Knoppix, Vista, XP, Win 2000..

My production machine is Vista.. have a great day.. and I am still waiting..
lol..

Shouldn't you know already.. btw, this is the big boys end..

http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/aix/

It runs on IBM SPs and storage managers, RS6000 workgroup servers,
Insurance, Geotechnical and major stores use this, and the high end business
software that is specifically customized on site.. Linux is used at the
smaller end very successfully, but it hasn't overtaken the big stuff, just
as it won't take over Windows..

The Command structure manuals are large and split into 12 volumes.. Ubuntu
is a toy by comparison.. if Ubuntu makes strides forwards, it is more at the
expense of other distros than it is Windows..

I am still waiting.. lol..
