Terminal Server Resetting client default printer!!!

M

mike

Im running terminal server on win2k. One of my clients is having a
hard time keeping there default (local) printer set as teh default
when they log-in.

The client has a network printer installed localy, via a virtual port.
(I did the net use lpt1 trick) The client logs in, however there
printer is not the default one when loged into the TS server. It is
available, and can be set as teh default, however it always reverts
back to the servers default after dissconect.

I have been playing with DOS scripts to set the printer. Specificly a
app called defprint. The problem is that both the name of the
printer, and the port change depending on when the user logs-in, as
the TS port and session change.

Does anyone have any solutions for this? any ideas would be
apreciated....
