My Advanced System Information application on the Xp
system tools doesn't activate any more, instead it
acitvates the Help and Support application. It worked in
the past. Can you help with this problem?
I've checked the properties on the icon it reads:
Target: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe"
Start in: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\MSInfo". I've tried using system restore it
doesn't help.

It may have worked in the past, but a Critical Update has toasted it.
I don't know which one.

You may or may not be able to fix this. I can't fix mine.

This works. It's what I use.

Go here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Read instructions at the top.
Scroll down to and Click on:
172. Msinfo32 Batch File - To Gain Access

Unzip and save it where ever | Create a shortcut | Place the shortcut in
your Start Menu, Desktop or where ever | Click the shortcut to open msinfo32
Saves typing it in the Start | Run box every time.

Also in case any of this may work for you.....

Go here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm

Click the "M" and scroll down to:
Can't Open Msinfo32
Read the info.
