System Information doesn't work?

Can anyone help me with this problem?
I've recently tried to use the system Information in the System Tools on Xp.
Instead of accessing the Advanced System Information function it accesses the Help and Support function.
In the past this function worked and now I don't appear to be able to access it.
The properties on the System Information icon reads:
Target: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe"
Start in: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo".
I've tried to fix this problem using the system restore it doesn't help.
