stop error screen - I NEED HELP!

evry once in a while, my computer just randomly restarts and shows me a stop
error screen (blue background and white writing) saying... "A problem has
been detected and windows has been shut down o prevent damage to your
computer. ..."
This gets really annoying, especially when im playin a game, or chatting on
MSN, and it just closes. man i need help, or im gunna end up throwin my
freakin computer through my window, help ASAP, thx

probably a memory problem. try releasing some by disabling your startups.
go to start > run > msconfig > startup tab > disable all > reboot......

You are facing frequent restarts on your windows XP. I would suggest you to
note the Blue Screen Error code and then do the accurate search on
http://support.microsoft.com.

This error could be related to a malfunction in the display adapter of your
PC.

You can post the error code here as well and I would gladly try to assist you.
