One way to go is Administrative Tools Services. There is a long list of
services, some of which are recognizeable and some you may want to learn
more about if you aren't sure. For a little guidance, you can Google for
Black Viper.

Another approach is Start | Run <type msconfig> In the last two columns you
can enable or disable Startup and Services (last two tabs.)
