startup programs

My computer is very slow booting up & I think it is
coming from startup programs on my pc. How do I keep them
from starting up at start up. Please do not put "hi" in
the subject box, I will not open it.

Start, Run, type "msconfig" (without quotes), OK, click on the Startup tab,
uncheck programs you don't want to start up.
