Hi. Sometimes when my Media Center goes into standby I cannot rewake it.
The light on the mouse goes out. Also, I don't know if this is related, an
icon appears in the system tray that I have never seen and cannot find info
on what it means. It looks like a pic of 2 monitors with a red "x" across.
My monitor stays lit. I followed some advice I read through some posts about
"System Standby" settings and all were as should be. Thanks to anyone who
can solve my problem.

Have you tried clicking the mouse or pressing a keyboard button?

That icon is for your LAN or possibly a firewire connection. It simply means
you are not connected to a network. If you have a LAN card and are not using
it, you can disable the icon from showing on the notification tray.

Control Panel > Network Connections > Right click the network connection
with the 'X' and select Properties. Remove the checkmark for "Notify me when
this connection has limited or connectivity".

Thanks. I did not have a network connection and unchecked the box so we'll
see. When this occurs I have tried clicking the mouse or touching keys.
Also, I forgot to write that when I placed the cursor over the icon, it
disappeared. Talk about frustrating!
