Notification Tray Icons

The notification tray (where the clock is) shows two icons of monitors with
a red X on them, when the system is returning from standby mode.

I can understand one icon showing, but can you tell me why two? I am getting
paranoid enough to think that someone else is monitoring my machine, and is
able to see my doings on their monitor...

Mike, it's probably the Internet Connection Icon responding. Not to
worry
