spyware not working AT ALL

I have loaded and installed the beta although it shows
complete, I do not get any program start up to configure
or any diaolg box for the software. I do not show any
application in my program start folders and it is also
not listed when I try and remove the program using
add/remove software. I am now having connection problems
to the net of which I have never had before. The
connection locks up when using IE, AOL and logging in to
my VPN. I have a cable connection and am running XP PRO
SP2. HOW DO I UNINSTALL this isf it does not show up on
my programs?

Say more. What source did you go to to "load and installed the beta"?

What was the name of the product you installed?

There's some confusion with a different product from Microsoft which
installs, checks your system, and then deletes itself--all silently if no
problem is found in the area it addresses.

One way to tell whether that product is the one you downloaded is to go to
%windir%\debug and look at the file MRT.LOG. That file is associated with a
different program, not the one addressed in these beta groups. That program
does not stay resident on your system and would not cause any of the issues
you mention.

Microsoft Antispyware might, in fact, if you ran it and it cleaned certain
spyware from your system, cause some of these symptoms.

However, you specify that you've never been able to run it?
It is clearly listed as Microsoft Antispyware in add/remove programs.
