Spooler problem with local printer

I have a rather old but usually trusty Dell A10 Printer 922. Everything was
fine until I tried to print an Adobe document from within IE. I got a message
regarding a spooler error and have not been able to print from any source
since. The scan software on the printer does start the scan software on my
computer so I know all hardware connections are in place. The status on any
print job I try to send says "Deleting-Printing-Printed" without anything
printing. No error messages are on the printer. Refresh does not work. Today,
I eventually got the message below:

"Spooler SubSystem App - An unhandled Win32 exception occurred in
Spoolsv.exe[1824]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the
following error. No installed debugger has Just-In-Time debugging enabled.
.....

I'm not sure if the Just-In-Time message relates to print problem because I
pressed the 'Debug' button on the fatal error message that asked whether I
should send the error to Microsoft but the I'm pretty certain the spooler
message does apply to the problem. Any ideas? I am going to reboot, try
printing from Notepad before accessing the problem document and get a better
capture of that fatal error message if it occurs.

Sorry about the length of the post but I know this information is needed.

Re-booting ften that clears things up.

Otherwise,

- open a Command Prompt window (Start > All Programs > Accessories >
Command Prompt)

- type "net stop spooler" (without quotes) and press Enter
- type "net start spooler" (without quotes) and press Enter

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to
%systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\ and delete any files there.

If there were any files there, and you deleted them, start and stop the
spooler again.

Close the Command Prompt and Windows Explorer.

See if saving the pdf to your Desktop (or elsewhere) and then opening it
directly with Adobe Reader allows you to print it successfully.
