spooler issue

After 6 mo with xp home, I am getting a" print spoler has
encounter a problem and needs to shut down ".
What is the fix for this ??

When does this happen? When you try to print or at some other time? What
make and model printer do you have and how is it connected to the PC?

When it happens, what does the Event Log say about the incident... to see
the Event Viewer, go to the Control Panel, click on Administrative Tools,
then Event Viewer.....
