HI,
Im moving away to uni soon and recently bought a new laptop to take with, i was hopeing to buy some decent speakers and possibly sound card and run the laptop as a cd player while im away.
I only really need 2.1 speakers, and i am never going to need a bigger system for the laptop, so i only need a card with 2.1 capabilities. I was thinkin of spendin like £120-£150 on speakers and i am not too sure about the cost of sound cards now, so what ever they cost. Unfortunatly i have no idea what sound card my laptop currently boasts, but it is a dell inspiration 6000 (i doubt that really helps, but hey:))
Any help will be greatly apprechiated thanks alot

first thing does it have any speaker plugs on it ? im not sure if you going to have any room inside for a soundcard so an external USB one might be needed

logitech make some good speakers as do creative, have a look at their ranges

laptops rarely support PCI soundcards, can't you just use the onboard sound?

& if you haven't got any speaker ports just use the headphones, suitible for most.
