The sound on my new TV is low and the speakers not great.
So thinking of buying a sound bar to improve things?
Do i need one with hdmi or usb connector, have both on tv?

No idea what to look for or cost £££.
Looking at about £150 max.

Would hope Ian, V_R & Flopps are up on this technology?

I've tried several in the past ended up with a Yamaha YSP 2200 was about £600 but can't beat it for movie sound or music in the soundbar world you really do get what you pay for it all depends on what you are happy with. HDMI is the way to go as far as I know the usb on the tv is for playing avi's.

I'm a little out of the loop to be honest, but I've seen some soundbars in Richer Sounds for just over £100 that sounded pretty good. If you've got one near you, it may be worth popping in to demo a few :).
