SP1, SP2 or SP1.5?

Whilst giving a friend's PC a 'springclean', I ran Belarc Advisor.
It reported the OS as XP Home SP1. Further down the page under the
heading "SP2", it listed a number of updates.

Could this mean that SP2 (in full) has been applied via Automatic
Update or just some updates that have been issued post SP2? What
information would enable me to confirm which is the case?

TIA

Hi

Run the following command from Start/Run

winver

That will tell you which Service Pack is installed.

No, those updates listed as SP2 were posted after the release of SP1. SP2
includes those updates (and more) as well as some new features.
Those released after SP2 are listed as SP3. SP3 has not been released as
yet.

Ah! That clears up the other matter, i.e. that I saw updates
listed under "SP3" and thought I'd gone back to the future!!
So I guess that the PC has lots of pre and post SP2 updates but
not the full SP2.

Presumably to get the PC up to date, I'd need to download and
apply SP2. Do I then need to re-download and re-apply all those
"SP3" updates or is there an easier way?
