SP2 download from CD

I have avoided download of SP2 since it was published because of (1) the
bugs, reported, (2) no CD was available (I have dialup), and (3) I have only
a 20 GIG hard drive. Since SP1 phases out in October, this necessitates
downloading SP2.

Question: does SP2 automatically uninstall SP1 (to save space), or can SP1
and its updates be uninstalled after successful installation of SP2, or does
SP1 remain and take up the space?

I have personally experienced no SP2-related bugs on any of the several
computers I've installed it. I also know of no other instances of problems
attributed to it except those that turned to be caused by installing it on
amalware-infested systems.

There was never a good reason to not install it, and there still isn't.

A CD has long been available. See

That shouldn't be a significant issue. It isn't significantly larger than
its predecessor.

Since SP1 phases out in October,
this necessitates downloading SP2.

SP2 incorporates SP1. The amount of extra space used is negligible.
