SP1 install

After XP reinstall after format some security updates but especially SP1 will not download and install. I recieve message that Service pack is not compatable with this version of Windows. I have never encountered this problem downloading updates before especially service packs. How can these updates be installed?

try downloading the full SP1a and then apply..

Same message after download sp1 not compatible with this version of windows. Thanks anyway
