SP-2 and Nortons

Hello, All!

I am a w2k user but was asked to help a friend whose xp home version could
not connect via dsl. I seem to remember reading something about the xp
firewall and symantec internet security, which my friend has, having a
conflict. Is my memory on this correct and has it been fixed by MS or
Symantec? Is it better to use the symantec firewall and turn MS off or vice
versa?

Most 2005 versions of the Symantec products should be now patched to work
witn SP2. If you are going to use N.I.S., turn off XP firewall (Norton
Internet Security/NIS should be able to turn it off).
