Security Tab missing

Hello, All!

In w2k, when I right click on a file/folder and select properties there is a
security tab available. In xp pro I can not find this. Is there a setting I
need to make?

I operate as admin in both systems.

Type simple file sharing in help.

Hi Colonel Blip,

You have to disable Simple File Sharing in XP Pro in order to have access to
the Security tab. From within any folder, go to Tools>Folder Options>View
tab. Scroll down to "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)" and click in the
checkbox beside it to uncheck it, then Apply then OK.
