I want to install a new sound card but before I install the new driver I
think I should remove the old one(s). But, there are six listed in Device
Manager. Do I remove all six? If not which one(s)?

Your original soundcard should have the original software installed also, so check Add/Remove Programs to uninstall that first. Then delete all the line items you see for card in the device manager. Shotdown your PC, then remove old card, install new. reboot, and Windows should detect new hardware. You then will need to use the install disk to load the software and rivers accordingly.

Be sure, before you remove the old card, and install the new, that when the system is totally powered off, you touch the metal frame of the tower, to prevent a static charge from hitting the system, that can be ugly.
