Sorting my mail by received from

I am trying to catagorize my received mail by senders name, ie: if i receive
an email from say Jan, Then i scroll down the list to mail from her and
either open or collapse her mail. Just as in Outlook and i think if i
remember correctly Outlook express also.
As it is right now, all received mail is in just one big looooooong list and
going through all options i dont see anything to allow me to do this! Any
help on this would be very much appreciated as i have alot of names to scroll
through.

Also, how do i set the "Purge deleted messages" to on?

Thanks for any help i get,
Tony

"Categories" is a Microsoft Outlook feature that was never in Outlook
Express and, as such, is not to be found in Windows Mail either. "Purge
Deleted Messages", by that name, is an IMAP account feature; it can be set
to remove messages when leaving IMAP folders. This setting, as well as the
"Empty Deleted Items folder on exit" setting are available under
'Tools|Options|Advanced|Maintenance'.

Use message rules, via the tools menu>mail>message rules.

Create folders for each of your senders and direct incoming mail from each,
to their respective folder.
